The hotly anticipated Foam Expo Europe event lands in Hannover, Germany this month.
Taking place on 16-18 October, the trade fair is Europe’s first trade fair, conference and networking event for the European technical foam manufacturing supply chain. This first annual exhibition showcases products, equipment, services and technologies for manufacturers and buyers working across the technical foam industry.
Free to attend, Foam Expo Europe is a meeting place for the entire foam supply chain. More than 200 exhibitors – including Huntsman, IMESA, Recticel, Armacell, Milliken and Foam Supplies Inc – will present their foam solutions to thousands of attendees.

A free twin-track conference runs alongside the trade fair, covering topics related to all types of foams for technical applications in the automotive, aerospace, construction, sports & leisure, medical, and packaging industries. More than 50 speakers from companies such as Airbus, Decathlon, IBM, Opel Automobile and BASF will delve into key industry drivers, how to optimise foam performance, solutions to global chain issues, industry trends, and strategies for achieving sustainable manufacturing and ‘green’ end-of-life fixes.
Over the three-day event, live product demonstrations will take place on the show floor as part of the Foam Expo Europe Product Showcase. It features the latest innovations, solutions and developments in foam materials and manufacturing technologies. Participating companies include Sulzer, presenting an augmented reality application for a realistic experience of a chemical-process plant; Recticel, which will present a brand-new concept for tackling acoustic and noise issues in industrial equipment; and CellMat Technologies, showcasing its innovative image analysis tool to determine the cellular structure of foams quickly and accurately.
