Following in the footsteps of its hugely popular American sister show, Foam Expo Europe arrives this October in Hannover, Germany, shining a spotlight on Europe’s booming technical foams industry.
The rigid PU foam market is set to undergo exponential growth by 2024. With Europe poised to claim a leading share, Foam Expo Europe is a timely event. Free to attend, the expo comprises an exhibition and conference focusing on the design and manufacture of both flexible and rigid foams for technical applications. It is specially designed for foam-industry professionals to discover innovations and related technologies, network with global representatives from across the entire technical foam supply chain, and stay at the vanguard of industry news and developments.
The expo is also an opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into cutting-edge foam materials available for lightweight, sound/shock absorbing and thermal applications. Engineers and executives from a range of industries – including automotive, aerospace, construction, medical, packaging, and sports and leisure – will be present. It is a chance to keep your finger on the pulse of emerging trends, helping you to stay ahead of evolving customer requirements.
The exhibition will host many of the industry’s leading names, with Nitto, ATP Adhesives, Recticel, Eurofoam, Vita Technical Foams, Hutchinson, ATOM, Foam Supplies, SABIC, and Sekisui Alveo among hundreds set to take part. More than 60% of the exhibition space has already been snapped up by exhibitors from 27 countries as far-flung as Australia, South Korea and the United States, making the expo truly global in nature. Foam performance webinar
Running ahead of the eagerly anticipated Foam Expo Europe is a webinar: Predicting Foam Performance in Impact Applications for Accident and Damage Prevention. Taking place on 6 June, the webinar is a chance to learn more about protective foam performance and put your most pressing questions to the best minds in the industry.
The webinar will delve into foam performance in different impact circumstance and consider how to balance foam density, weight, resilience and thickness for optimum impact absorption. It will also evaluate how physical foam properties – such as cell size, structure and distribution – affect performance and discuss how to accurately predict performance through modelling.
Webinar speakers include JSP’s innovation manager, Bert Suffis, and president of XOnano Smartfoam, Jake Merrell. Suffis has elevated JSP’s products, taking them beyond the automotive industry and broadening their application. His current focus is on hybrid solutions for the future. Merrell has extensive experience with various urethane products and mechanical engineering. He has helped a number of companies integrate XOnano Smartfoam technology into their products and bring them to market.
The webinar will take place on Wednesday 6 June at 4pm Central European Summer Time (CEST). Register here to be part of the conversation.
