Martin spent 20 years in professional practice advising clients ranging from SMEs to global quoted groups. Steve has been with Smarter Shows from the very beginning and has been instrumental in the launch of a number of successful events. Steve is now the Event Director for The Battery Show and Europe Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo Europe. Steve is responsible for the continued development, growth and success of these events. Gordy McHattie – Event Director, Space Tech Expo USA / Space Tech Expo Europe

Gordy has a Combined Hons Degree in Industry and Enterprise, Media Studies, Psychology and English Literature. He worked at his first exhibition when he was just 16 years old, before building a successful career in Premium Automotive Sales and Finance, where he was Sales and Business Manager at both BMW and Audi dealerships. After living in Canada for 6 months, Gordy moved back to the UK to join the Smarter Shows team and work on Space Tech Expo, combining his past experience working at exhibitions and his extensive sales skills.

Jamie Reid – Event Director, Foam Expo USA and Foam Expo Europe

After leaving college, Jamie turned his hobby of Inline skating into a career by becoming both a professional athlete and brand manager for the companies he represented. The experience gained from this role led to a career of sales and business development within the Automotive, Training and IT sectors. From dealing with vehicle collections for high net worth clients, to new product development for global IT, Security and Defence firms. With over 15 years’ experience in sales and business, Jamie’s dynamic background is now being used in Smarter Shows events both in the U.S. and Europe and is now heading up Foam Expo USA and Foam Expo Europe.

Natalie Roberts - Accounts Manager

Natalie originally studied Applied Mathematical Sciences at Dublin City University before moving to England in 1990. She then joined a Norwegian owned International Shipping Organisation were she remained for nearly 20 years working her way up to become Accounts/Office Manager. In January 2014 she joined Smarter Shows as their Accounts Manager and has since also been given the title Amazing Brownie Maker!

An experienced events marketing professional, Alex has 12 years marketing experience, within B2B exhibitions and conferences and digital marketing. After studying PR and Communications at Southampton Solent University, Rachel kicked started her career in an award winning B2B PR agency in Brighton working with large blue chip companies and global management consultancies.  Progressing naturally into a Marketing Manager role at a full services agency, she brings six years of experience encompassing all aspects of the marketing mix from experimental digital strategy to traditional advertising. Caroline got her first taste for marketing during her Information and Media degree at the University of Brighton. She then started her career in the gaming industry before moving into the Hair and Beauty sector. Lee Mizzi – Creative Manager

Initially graduating in Photography and working as photographer and photography tutor, Lee then followed his passion for digital imaging and pursued a career in graphic design. For over 8 years Lee has designed for companies, universities and associations all over the world and produced a varied and impressive portfolio. In his role as Creative Manager, Lee is responsible for ensuring that Smarter Shows creative output is of the highest standard and at the forefront of the industry. Fleur Jonker – Conference Producer

In this role Fleur enjoy building relationships with industry experts to create engaging conference programs that resonate with their audiences. Analysing delegate feedback and attendee data, understanding complex supply chains through market research, and writing copy for the website, newsletter and social media channels are just a few of the things that Fleur enjoys about this job. Steve Cunningham – Technical Director

Steve has been working in the events industry for the last seven years.  He has been working with Smarter Shows since its foundation and prior to that was working for four years at UKIP Media and Events one of the largest events companies in the country.  Steve’s core skill set is as a website developer but his role now encompasses all things technical at Smarter Shows.  Such as supervising the web development team, data management, email marketing, pre show and onsite event registration, technical strategy and decision making, business process analysis, IT and telephony.

A graduate in Space Science and Systems, Mark has adapted his technical abilities over the years to incorporate emerging web technologies. At Yuzoz, Mark was privileged to work with pioneers in the commercial space industry and created early links between the emerging space projects and current internet culture.
